I was listening to this song recently and thought how crazy it is that at some point in every Christ follower’s life, there is a “desert experience.”  Take the writer of this song for instance, these words only come from someone who has been through this experience before.  We are entering into a new period of “pause” at our church, meaning we are pausing to seek the face of God, and at times I know that it will be like we are wondering in the desert, not knowing where to go, but these verses speak to God’s faithfulness.

Deuteronomy 2:7

⁷ The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.
